Assessments

Autism  James is an approved autism assessor through Autism SA and Medicare.  As a Clinical Psychologist NDIS also accept the assessment. 
Learning James can assess and diagnose a variety of academic and learning concerns (e.g., Dyslexia, “IQ”, Intellectual Disability, Challenging behaviours, Developmental concerns). 
Eating disorders James is trained in the assessment and management of eating concerns and was a member of the SEDS (State-wide Eating Disorder Service) in Mt Barker, South Australia. 
Challenging behaviours James is trained in the assessment of challenging and concerning behaviours (e.g., oppositional, coercive, risky, sexualised) and the development of response plans.

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)Trauma-focused CBT, Post Traumatic Stress and Growth.
Relationship difficulties Parallel Parent-Child Narrative (PPCN), button-pushing conceptualisation. 
Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)DBT for the adolescent and child to manage risk, therapy interfering with a focus on the quality of life.
Depression  Use Psychological therapies to help the young person understand low mood.
Anxiety Anxiety and the sensitive child. Developmentally appropriate CBT, DBT, exposure and parental psychoeducation. 
Challenging behaviours Managing challenging behaviours using the Circle of Security, Triple P or Integrated Family Intervention. 
Adolescent Family Violence Understanding and managing Adolescent Family Violence (e.g., ‘Walking on Eggshells’) unemotional traits and response plans.
Internet Gaming Disorder Understanding and managing Internet Gaming Disorder 
Eating disorders Eating disorders (AN, BN) using FBT/Maudsley and DBT methods, fussy, restricted and overeating, managing Type 2 diabetes. 
Gender and Sexuality Managing and understanding gender identity and sexuality. 
School refusal Using a conceptualism approach and a variety of therapies based on the conceptualisation, these are often complex cases.
Sleep difficulties Understanding and managing sleep difficulties using CBT, behaviour routines and biology to improve sleep. 
Autism Spectrum Disorder and symptoms Anxiety, developmental challenges, depression, big feelings, ASD-S (stress) and ASD-G (growth).
